Rocking event to help epilepsy organization

AUSTINTOWN

The front porch of Cracker Barrel, 5600 Interstate Blvd., will be the site of a rocking event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday to raise awareness and support for services of Mahoning Valley Epilepsy.

Community businesses, families, clubs and organizations sponsor rocking chairs or get pledges to occupy the rocking chairs for an hour at a time. Featured will be live entertainment, raffles and refreshments. Participants are given information on epilepsy.

The organization sends kids to summer camp staffed with physicians and counselors trained in epilepsy. It also helps adults in obtaining seizure medications.
