FBI searches City Hall in New Jersey’s capital
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — FBI agents are searching City Hall in New Jersey’s capital.
Today’s raid comes one day after agents searched the home of Trenton Mayor Tony Mack. They also searched the homes of his brother and a convicted sex offender who was one of his biggest early campaign donors.
An FBI spokeswoman would not say where the search was concentrated in City Hall.
Mack has denied any wrongdoing. The Democrat has drawn criticism since he was elected in 2010. Mack’s first term in office has been punctuated by accusations of reckless spending and nepotism.
