Boil alert in effect for some residents of Youngstown, Boardman

YOUNGSTOWN— A boil alert issued for Youngstown and Boardman residents is expected to be in effect until Tuesday.

The Youngstown Water Department says tests of the water still need to be sent out today and they expect to have those back Tuesday, according to Vindicator news partner TV 21 WFMJ.

The boil alert was issued yesterday after a major water line break on Volney Road in Mill Creek Park.

That break caused water pressure to slow to a trickle or stop completely for residents of Youngstown’s south and west sides as well as Cornersburg and parts of Boardman.
