National Night Out in New Middletown to include parade

NEW MIDDLETOWN

The annual National Night Out celebration in the village is set for Aug. 7, village officials announced. Parade line-up is at 5:30 p.m. at Springfield High School.

The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and will proceed to St. Paul the Apostle Church. From 7 to 9:30 p.m. there will be food, music and K-9 demonstrations at Welker Park.

The evening will end with fireworks at Springfield Elementary School at 10 p.m.

Donations are being accepted at the Municipal Building for the fireworks. National Night Out is a program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
