Burnhams mark golden milestone with their family

To observe their 50th wedding anniversary, James and Trudy Burnham of Boardman celebrated July 14 with a family gathering by invitation at their home.

Hosting the festivities were their children, J.R. Burnham of Louisville, Ohio, and Lisa Burnham of Youngstown.

The couple also have four grandchildren, Jimmy, Ryan, Sarah and Grace, as well as two great-grandchildren.

Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Youngstown was the site of the couple’s wedding July 14, 1962.

Trudy Burnham, the former Trudy J. Gillam, retired in 2004 as an elementary librarian from Boardman Local Schools. She belongs to Western Reserve Knitting Guild and Mahoning Valley Watercolor Society.

Mr. Burnham retired in 2003 from Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co., where he was a salaried employee. He belongs to Argus Masonic Lodge, and Al Koran Shrine, the Youngstown Shrine Club. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965.

The Burnhams traveled on a 27-day cruise to Europe and the Baltics as part of their celebration.
