Book discussion groups to meet

LEETONIA

“Bright-Sided: How Positive Thinking Is Undermining America,” by Barbara Ehrenreich, will be the topic of the nonfiction book discussion group at Leetonia Community Public Library, 181 Walnut St., at 6 p.m. Monday.

According to some critics, “Bright-Sided” exposes the false promises of positive thinking and explains how eternal optimism and positive thinking leads people to not accept negative outcomes — like the housing crisis and the economic recession.

The library’s fiction discussion group will meet at 10 a.m. Aug. 1 to discuss Ann Tatlock’s “A Room of My Own,” a work of Christian fiction.

Copies of both books are available at the library.
