Couple’s Lincoln Zephyr is award-winner

Canfield’s Ron and Bonnie Dycman had been going to car shows for years before deciding it was time to buy their own classic car. After extensive research, the couple finally decided it wanted a 1939 Lincoln Zephyr and set out on the journey to get the car of their dreams.

Ron traveled all the way to Arkansas to get the body and paid to have the frame shipped to their Canfield home from North Carolina. After eight years of blood, sweet, tears and hard work, including customizing, body work (done by Ron himself and Portage Trim), and custom paint by Mike Garnica and Dwayne Farragder, the car was finally ready to be shown to the world.

The Dycmans started showing their car last summer and have since been awarded with many trophies and other such awards, that are proudly displayed in the Dycman’s “Man Garage.”

The couple’s Zephyr was chosen by “Crusin’ Times” magazine as the 2011 “Hot Pick” and was featured at the 2012 Cleveland AutoRama at the I-X Center.

This experience has been very rewarding for the Dycmans. They have made many new friends and acquaintances and they look forward to many more summers of car shows and cruises.
