Canfield swimmers beat Applewood

The Canfield Swim Club beat Applewood 309-192 in a meet swim team on July 3 at the Canfield Swim Club.
The victors were led by 10 triple-first place winners. Marissa Launders, who competed in 9-10 girls events, took first place in the medley relay, 50 backstroke and butterfly, while Elle Dawson, also competing in 9-10 girls events, claimed the medley relay, freestyle, and free relay.
Santino Marucci (9-10 boys) placed first in the medley relay, freestyle and breaststroke. Gina Launders (11-12 girls) won the medley relay, freestyle and butterfly. Cullen Brady (11-12 boys) won the 50 backstroke, butterfly, and free relay. Matthew Bogen (13-14 boys) placed first in the medley relay, breaststroke, and free relay.
Alec Gaetano, competing in the same age group, claimed the freestyle, butterfly and free relay races. Daniel Bogen and Connor Brady (15-18 boys) were on the first-place medley relay team together. Bogen also won freestyle and free relay, while Brady took the 50 backstroke and butterfly title. Sarah Heaven (15-18 girls) placed first in the medley relay, breaststroke and 50 backstroke.
Double-first place winners included Grace Mangapora (9-10 girls medley relay and breaststroke), Maya Marucci (9-10 girls medley and free relays), MacKenzie Hammond (11-12 girls medley relay and 50 backstroke), Jonathon Gant and Bobby Kutsch (both 11-12 boys medley and free relay races), Jared Rothbauer (13-14 boys medley relay and 50 backstroke), Nicholas Palermo (13-14 boys medley and free relays), Mallory Allen (15-18 girls medley relay and butterfly), Drew Bennett and Nicky Montalto (both 15-18 boys medley and free relays), Ty Schaab (8 and under boys freestyle and breaststroke), and Luke Dietz (8 and under boys 50 backstroke and Butterfly).
Single-first place winners in the medley relay were Sirin Nalluri (9-10 boys), Mickey Velasquez (9-10 boys), Joe Klepec (9-10 boys), Lexi Gaetano and Lauren Kerensky (11-12 girls), Liam Martin and Lake Pallante (11-12 boys), Ben Brucoli (13-14 boys), and Olivia Williamson and Briana O’Malley (15-18 girls).
Single-first place winners in the free relay were the team of Riley Kinkade, Madeline McCartney, Madison Cleevely, and Alison Gonda (8 and under girls), Isabella Kelty and Lauren Fitzgerald (9-10 girls), James Dietz (11-12 boys), Alex DiThomas (13-14 boys), and Kyle Anderson (15-18 boys).
Other winners included Madison Murphy (8 and under freestyle), Madison Klughart (8 and under 50 backstroke), Mara Kohut (13-14 girls Breaststroke), and Bella Neapolitan (8 and under butterfly).
