Arrests made in thefts from vehicles

BOARDMAN
Police have made four arrests and expect to make another soon in a string of thefts from vehicles.
Timothy Allen Esposito, 38, of Youngstown, will be back in Youngstown Municipal Court for a preliminary hearing at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday before Judge Elizabeth Kobly, after being arrested early Sunday morning.
Esposito is facing several charges including felony carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing official business and receiving stolen property. He also faces misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and receiving stolen property.
Residents on Simon Road and Waseka and Orlo lanes told police their vehicles had been ransacked and, in most cases, items stolen overnight Saturday to Sunday, according to reports.
A man on Orlo Lane was able to give police a description of the suspects, and about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, a Boardman officer spotted the two men matching the description on the Youngstown side of Midlothian Boulevard near South Avenue, chased them on foot and apprehended one of the men, identified as Esposito, police said.
Police reports state that Esposito, who was carrying a pistol, was found with what appeared to be items stolen from vehicles on Orlo Lane.
Boardman Detective Glenn Patton said police believe they have identified the second suspect who fled.
Three other men believed to have broken into vehicles already are facing charges.
Brendan Michael Daviduk, 18, of Struthers; Jeffrey Thomas Walker, 27, of Boardman; and Kenneth Morgan Daviduk III, 18, were charged June 28 with felony receiving stolen property, felony possession of criminal tools and criminal trespass. Walker and Kenneth Daviduk also face charges of obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
Patton said police have recovered about $4,000 worth of items believed to have been stolen from vehicles.
