Golf event to benefit Copeland Oaks

Copeland Oaks retirement community is seeking participants for its 10th annual golf scramble fundraiser July 23 at Alliance Country Club.

The event benefits Copeland Care Fund, which provides financial aid to residents who can no longer afford to pay for their care. For information call 330-938-7769.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. with registration, followed by lunch and a noon start. A steak dinner at 5 p.m. will follow play.

The day will include games of skill, team prizes, beverages, a chance for $10,000 and a hole-in-one contest for a car.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available at prices starting at $250.
