Delta expands with LaGuardia/Cleveland flights
CLEVELAND (AP) — Delta Air Lines is expanding service at New York’s LaGuardia Airport with new service to Cleveland.
Delta says the service between LaGuardia and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, which began today, completes its largest route expansion at the New York airport in more than 40 years.
The service with 50-seat regional jets will be operated by Delta Connection carrier Pinnacle and Chautauqua Airlines. The peak-day schedule calls for five departures daily from both Cleveland and LaGuardia.
Cleveland airport director Ricky Smith says the Delta service expansion will mean more travel choices for people in northeast Ohio.
The Cleveland airport served more than nine million passengers last year.
