LORDSTOWN — Anthony J. Fossaceca, 35, of Willow Crest Avenue, Austintown, has been charged with breaking and entering in the break-in of the Pizza Joe’s and Subway restaurants in the Lordstown Plaza, 6100 Tod Ave.

Police say the Pizza Joe’s break-in occurred at 3:20 a.m. June 22. Two glass front doors had been smashed out. Surveillance video shows a white male using a hammer on the windows.

Lordstown police were notified by North Jackson police of an attempted break-in at the Subway further south on Tod in the hours after the Pizza Joe’s break-in.

Police also charged Fossaceca with possessing criminal tools, vandalism and attempted theft. Youngstown police arrested Fossaceca on July 3 during a traffic stop and he is in Mahoning County jail. He has not appeared in court on the Lordstown charges.

He also has charges pending in the Mahoning County area courts in Austintown and Canfield for theft, robbery and breaking and entering, according to court records.

Lordstown police are still seeking information on a second suspect involved in the break-ins and asks anyone with information to call 330-824-2545.
