Two nabbed in Shenango Valley Mall heist

hermitage, pa.

An armed robbery in a jewelry store at the Shenango Valley Mall led to a police chase that ultimately involved the critical-response team.

Hermitage police said the robbery happened around noon at King’s Jewelry in the mall.

Two suspects fled, and police caught one behind a trash bin at Bob Evan’s, police said.

But the second suspect hid in the men’s room at Applebee’s and refused to come out. Police said there were no hostages in there with him.

The Mercer County Critical Incident Response Team went into the restroom and got him, police said.

Police were not ready to release the suspects’ identities by early afternoon.
