“Hoarding — Buried alive” (9 p.m., tlc): Elvis has left the building? Not really. In the season opener of “Hoarding: Buried Alive,” we meet an Elvis impersonator whose collection of memorabilia has taken over his New York apartment.

Free magic show, concert on lawn

Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Ave. NW (off Parkman Road near Rite Aid), will host a free concert and magic show on the church lawn from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Magician Gary Morton will perform at 6 p.m. followed by the Cortland Community Band in concert at 7 p.m. Food, including hot dogs, chips, beverages, fresh baked apple crisp and ice cream, will be sold and the public is welcome to bring lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on. ‘MST 3000’ gang returns to theaters

The comedians of “Mystery Science Theater 3000” will return to select movie theaters to take on one of the worst films of all time. A special one-night show of “RiffTrax Live: Manos, the Hands of Fate” will be 8 p.m. Aug. 16 at selected theaters, including Tinseltown, 7401 Market St.

The wise-cracking commentary of Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett of RiffTrax.com will accompany a screening of “Manos, the Hands of Fate.” As a bonus, fans will receive a selection of free digital gifts.

‘Whorehouse’ opens Friday at playhouse
