Youngstown State University will name a Kilcawley Center computer lab in honor of the Theta Chi fraternity, a way to recognize fraternity alumni of the Epsilon Delta chapter who raised $100,000 in pledges and donations for future renovations at Kilcawley.

An event celebrating the naming of the Theta Chi Computer Lab, located on the second floor of Kilcawley, YSU’s student center, is set for 10 a.m. Sat., July 21. Theta Chi was active on the YSU campus from 1956 through 2010 and is the first fraternity to have a room on campus named in its honor.

Paul G. Perantinides, ’66, a Theta Chi alumnus and Akron attorney, initiated the fundraising effort in October 2011. Paul Zaffaroni and Angelo Ford, both 1969 graduates, motivated support for the $100,000 goal by launching an email campaign to chapter alumni nationwide.
