Campbell residents asked to conserve water
CAMPBELL
Residents are asked to conserve water until a water emergency in the city is over sometime today, said city Administrator Jack Dill.
The problem began at 4:30 p.m. Friday when a raw-water line running through Struthers from Aqua Ohio’s Hamilton Lake broke under Norfolk & Southern Railroad tracks in Struthers.
The railroad would not allow Aqua Ohio to repair the break, and it could take weeks or months for the company to get a permit to do so, Dill said.
The broken line was shut down. Campbell had to switch to a waterline from McKelvey Lake that had to be flushed first.
