Two New Castle fires suspicious
NEW CASTLE, Pa.
Two fires within two hours of each other are suspicious, though they have not been ruled arson, fire department officials reported.
The first fire was at 8:50 p.m. Thursday at a vacant house on Shadyside Avenue, the department said. The house was destroyed.
The second house, also vacant, was on South Ray Street at 10:28 p.m. It, too, was destroyed. That fire melted siding on neighboring houses.
There were no injuries in either fire, the department said.
