Crystal Batchelder, Shawn Sturgeon to wed Aug. 4

The engagement of Crystal Marie Batchelder and Shawn Joseph Sturgeon, both of Cortland, is being announced by their parents.

The bride-to-be is a daughter of William Batchelder of Cortland and Tracey Batchelder of Warren.

The future bridegroom is a son of Joseph and Helen Sturgeon of Cortland.

The couple will exchange wedding vows during a ceremony at 1 p.m. Aug. 4 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Cortland. An evening reception will be at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre in Niles. Invitations will be issued for both.

Miss Batchelder graduated from Choffin School of Surgical Technology with certification. She is employed as a surgical technician at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren.

Mr. Sturgeon is employed as an operations analyst with Lendor Processing Systems in Solon. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Youngstown State University. The future bridegroom also served six years in the U.S. Air Force.
