Children enjoyed quality time with the special man in their lives during Skedaddles’ Donuts with Dad event June 16 to celebrate Father’s Day.

“We let them come in with their dads. We bought doughnuts for them and gifts for the children to give their dads as well,” said Skedaddles owner Dini Ricchiuti.

Children and their fathers ate doughnuts, drank juice and played for a few hours to celebrate during the event.

“It’s nice to play one on one with her. She loves it and I’m a proud father,” said Jason Steele.

Children mingled with friends, while others stayed close to their father’s side. The event was very special for some children who had been anticipating coming to Skedaddles all week.

“She’s been talking about it all week and she definitely has been looking forward to it all week. She enjoys herself and we always have a good time together, said John Vigliotti.

The event was not only a day to honor Father’s Day, but also a day to allow fathers a chance to play and relax with children.

“It lets dads have a day with their kids that they may not always get. We just want to give the children the opportunity to get time with their dad,” Ricchiuti said.

According to Ricchituti, the event was a success and fathers appreciated the experience just as much as their children.

“I hope that all fathers appreciate and take their roles serious because anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad,” Vigliotti said.
