Compco Industries wins league championship

Compco Industries finished the Boardman Community Baseball regular season with a 17-3 record to win the Minor League AA championship.

On June 26, Compco defeated Diamond Steel 9-5 in the first round of the Minor AA playoffs. The next day, Compco fell to Freedy Construction 11-3 in the semifinals.

Compco’s success this season was a team effort, and included offensive production and defensive plays from Tommy Fryda, A.J. Pecchia, Owen Lewis, John Murphy, Andrew Fryda, Jaden Rivera, Anthony Butto, Jack McGlone, Noah Pecchia, Ben Ludban, Jackson Lipka, and Nicolas Ott.

Compco all-stars Tommy Fryda, John Murphy, and A.J. Pecchia, will soon begin tournament play. Compco was led by manager John Fryda and assistant coach John Murphy.
