Youngstown chalks up homicide No. 18


YOUNGSTOWN — City police are now investigating the 18th homicide of 2012, which took place just as the Fourth of July holiday was coming to a close.

According to police reports, 24-year-old Brian Angel was killed in the 3000 block of McGuffey Road at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday. Police found 11 shell casings littering a nearby yard, driveway and street.

Witnesses told police Angel walked over to a large car that pulled in the driveway of a home on McGuffey, then Angel tried to run away as shots were fired.
