Two new permits for horizontal drilling issued

Two new permits for horizontal drilling were issued last week by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for Mahoning Valley locations.

Both went to Chesapeake Exploration LLC and were done on June 29, one was for a site in Mahoning County in Beaver Township.

The site is located northwest of Columbiana off West Garfield Road between Germantown Road and Green Beaver Road.

The second was in Columbiana County in Knox Township. It is located off Center Road between South Bandy Road and Knox School Road. The site is less than a mile southeast of Knox Elementary School.
