MAHONING COUNTY
Austintown: Grand marshals for the 2 p.m. parade today will be Detroit Lions offensive lineman Dan Gerberry, a graduate of Fitch High School, and Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Mike McGlynn. The parade begins at the corner of Raccoon and Kirk roads and travels north on Raccoon to Falcon Drive.
Struthers: Parade will begin at noon today at Struthers Fifth Street Plaza. Registration, sign-in is from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Local celebrities will judge units for prizes in various categories.
Youngstown: Fireworks downtown at dusk today.
Boardman: On Thursday, at the Maag Outdoor Arts Theater in Boardman Park, the Jazz Ambassadors U.S. Army Field Band will perform at 8 p.m. and fireworks approximately 9:45 p.m. Concessions are available.
TRUMBULL COUNTY
Howland: Independence Day celebration, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Orwig Park and Howland High School; parade; 5K Stars and Stripes run and walk sponsored by St. Joseph Health Center at 8 a.m.; music, food, children’s activities, and more. Pet parade, car show and Pizza Works pizza-eating competition.
Niles: Fireworks displays will follow Mahoning Valley Scrappers home game today at Eastwood Field.
Warren: Fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. today at W.D. Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW.
COLUMBIANA COUNTY
East Palestine: Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. today at East Palestine City Park.
East Liverpool: Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. today at the downtown wharf over the Ohio River.
MERCER COUNTY
Grove City: Community patriotic program from 8 to 9 p.m. today. Music provided by the Harrisville Community Band, followed by a fireworks display, at Grove City College Football Field, Lower Campus, Grove City College. Free admission.
