Making their home in Wilmington, N.C., are Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Whitmore, who were married July 9, 2011, at St. Christine Church by the Rev. Kevin Peters.

The bride is a daughter of Ron and Debbie Rodway of Boardman and Tony and Pam Velazquez of Poland. Parents of the bridegroom are Tim and Becky Whitmore of Cornelius, N.C.

A reception took place at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center. The newlyweds honeymooned in Cura ßao Island in the Caribbean.

Mrs. Whitmore earned a bachelor’s degree in education at Youngstown State University. Her husband holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of North Carolina of Wilmington.

They work at Holly Shelter Middle School in Wilmington, where she is an eighth-grade history teacher and he is a seventh-grade science teacher.

Rebecca Campbell, the bride’s sister, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Puskarcik, the bride’s cousin, and Angela Catalano, Christin Sun, Melissa Bauer, Lisa Parker and Leslie Nicole Smith. Flower girl was Jasena Puskarcik, the bride’s cousin. The attendants wore plum dresses.

Erik Whitmore, the brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Larry Campbell of Boardman, the bride’s brother-in-law; Nick Bailey, the bride’s cousin; and Jared Peters, Shawn Cruise, Jeffrey Miles and Jeff Hejl. Ring bearer was David Puskarcik, the bride’s cousin.
