Eastern frontier movies planned at library
WARREN
The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW, will show a series of movies Saturday and July 21 with the theme of “When the East Was the West: Tales of the Eastern Frontier.”
The program will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday for a film about Rogers’ Rangers, based on the novel by Kenneth Roberts. At 3:15 the library will show a 1958 classic based on the novel by Conrad Richter about a young man captured and raised by Indians.
At 1 p.m July 21 there will be a film about a Virginia militia leader on the American frontier of the mid-1700s, and at 3:30 p.m. that day will be a 1939 black-and-white film about British colonial America.
The films are free, open to the public and recommended for ages 12 and up.
