Unity Church Centre, 1226 Naylor-Lloyd Road, Liberty, will have a giant book sale from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

CRAFT SHOWS

Saxon Club Branch 22 Ladies Auxiliary is looking for vendors for its fall craft show scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. Tables may be rented for $25 through Oct. 31, when the cost will increase to $35. For information call 330-788-4274.

St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, is seeking vendors for its Holiday Craft Show planned for Nov. 3. For information call 330-792-1578.

Women’s Guild of St. Jude Church, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana, will sponsor the 21st annual craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 17 at the church activity center. Interested vendors can call the church at 330-482-2351 for information.

FESTIVALS/FAIRS

Harvey S. Firestone Festival of the Arts in Columbiana will take place 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 4 in the park. Artists, crafters and antique dealers, a variety of food vendors and an afternoon of free entertainment will be available. This juried show has a limit of 250 spaces. For the application fee of $75, vendors receive a 20-by-20-foot space, free parking and dealers assistance. A cash prize will go to the most attractive booth in each of the three categories. Applications must include at least three photos of previous displays.

Leetonia Artisans Festival Committee is seeking arts, crafts, antiques and collectibles vendors for the 27th annual show, set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 23, rain or shine, at Leetonia Wick Park on Walnut Street. Spots are $40 for 15-by-15-foot spaces for regular vendors or $50 for food vendors. Vendor applications can be obtained at www.leetonia.org or by contacting Dan Morelli at 330-427-6741. RAFFLES

Ohio State University Alumni Club of Trumbull and Mahoning Counties is announcing its annual benefit football ticket raffle. The grand prize is two President’s Club season football tickets good for all eight home games. Second prize is two tickets to the University of Miami home opener Sept. 1. Raffle tickets are $20 each or three for $50; only 600 tickets will be sold. Proceeds will benefit the club’s scholarship fund. SALES

Berlin Center Historical Society is sponsoring community-wide yard sales on July 27 and 28. To be listed on the maps, call 330-547-4593 by July 15. The society also is selling Westerwald Crocks imprinted with “Berlin Center, Ohio — 1828.” The price is $15 for a honey pot and $20 for a quart-size crock. Liberty Presbyterian Church, 1451 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, is having a Christmas in July Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 26, 27 and 28. Featured will be many Christmas items as well as other rummage sale items. Donated items are being accepted. Call 330-534-4415 to drop donations off.

St. John’s Episcopal Church will sponsor a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the church basement, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown. The sale will include household and personal items along with vintage and collectible items. Free tours of St. John’s, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, will be given from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Junior Women’s League of Canfield is recruiting vendors for the 43rd annual Fall Market Event on the Canfield Village Green. This year’s event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 15. Vendors range from home-based businesses to arts and craft merchandise. Proceeds will benefit the community. For information call 330-506-4347.

TRIPS

E.B. Family Life Center will sponsor a bus trip Aug. 18 to the 30th African Festival at the Philip Hart Plaza in Detroit. The bus departs at 7:30 a.m. from the center at 7 S. Garland Ave., Youngstown, and return will be that night. The cost is $65. The festival will celebrate Africa and African culture. There will be games, prizes and refreshments on the bus.
