Warren police probe Monday afternoon shooting
WARREN — A 53-year-old city man suffered a gunshot wound to the upper back in front of a house on Idlylwild Street Northwest after multiple gunshots were fired at him at about 4 p.m. today.
Jan Patterson of Warren said his brother, John Patterson, suffered a gunshot wound in the upper middle of his back while helping two other men move a television set into a house on Idylwild near North Park Avenue.
Jan Patterson said it appears his brother will be “OK.”
Investigators were searching the grass and sidewalk area in front of 180 Idylwild — about four houses west — because that’s where the gunshots apparently came from, witnesses said.
Jan Patterson and other witnesses said it sounded like about a half-dozen shots were fired. No arrests had been made as of late tonight.
