CLASS B PLAYOFFS

Astro Falcons 11, Toyota of Warren 1

Dane Gecina belted a home run and Dan Popio tripled for Astro in the opening game of the second-round playoff series. James Coates added a double as Tanner Love earned the win on the mound allowing just one run and five hits. Coates, Bubba Wells and Alex Bell had two RBIs each. For Toyota, GJ Senchak had two hits and an RBI.

Toyota of Warren 6, Astro Falcons 3

Toyota scored three runs in the sixth inning to tie the series 1-1. Cody Pitzo and Alex Bell each had key RBIs. GJ Senchak was the winning pitcher. Joey Armbrosini had three hits and score three runs. For Astro, Brendan Cox and Popio each had two hits. The teams will play the deciding game tonight at 7.

Creekside Fitness 5, Roth Brothers 2

Jared Weisen doubled and Joe Killian had a pair of triples to lead Creekside Fitness in the second-round opener. Joe Killian had an RBI triple in the first inning. Kevin Yarabinec earned the win, pitching a four-hitter. Creekside scored three runs in the top of the sixth.For Roth, Anthony Abied had a hit and an RBI.

Creekside Fitness 4, Roth Brothers 2

Zarley Zalenski tripled as Ryan Trimbur and Hank Schlueter each doubled for Creekside, which advanced to the championship series to play the winner of Toyota/Astro. That series begins on Tuesday. Cory Hickman and Justin McGinnis each had key RBIs. Jared Weisen was the winning pitcher, tossing a one-hitter. Roth made things interesting in the top of the seventh, scoring one run on a wild pitch and another on a sacrifice fly by Joe Tuchek. Roth had the tying run at the plate but Wiesen closed it out.

LITTLE b PLAYOFFS

Kuboff & Associates 13, Wedgewood Pizza 3

Greg Poptak blasted a home run out of the park, while Alex Greathouse had an inside the park home run for Kuboff. Tanner Morris tripled, while Jake Moreno, Mark Colella and Andrew Jones doubled. Connor DiGiacomo pitched the complete game for the win.

Diamond 9’s 13, Youngstown Express 0

Diamond 9’s had a fast start by plating three runs in the first inning. Zach Miller had a 2-run triple and Cameron Rezapourian doubled. Alec Hammond had a pair of hits and scored three runs. Patrick Moldovan was the winning pitcher.

Astro Falcons 10, Toyota of Warren 0

Nick Revak pitched the complete game shutout and allowed just five hits and two walks. Kip DeShields had three hits, including a triple and drove in a run. Vinny Roberto had three hits and an RBI. Denver Martin added a double.

Creekside Fitness 16, Livi Steel 0

Creekside plated four runs in the bottom of the first and progressively added one more run per inning for the next two. Billy Goodall pitched three innings and struck out four batters before handing the ball over to Kane Durkin. Durkin also had a pair of doubles as Ryan Miller and Ryan Megyesi each tripled.

Bel-Park 5, Roth Brothers 4

Bel-Park had a walk off win with Nate Guiler bringing home Cory Stavosky. Andrew Armstrong tripled in the first inning for Roth and Carter Rhoads drove him in with a home run. For Bel-Park, Stefan Levansky doubled and Jon Mudrinch had a pair of RBIs. Nate Guiler pitched the complete game and earned the win.
