Accident in New Springfield sends several to hospital

A serious crash at East Middletown and Unity roads sent several people to the hospital, police said.

The accident occurred about 12:15 p.m. Monday, said Springfield Township Police Chief Matthew Mohn. The chief said his department assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The chief said he believed two adults and two children were in one vehicle and an adult and one children were in the other vehicle that most had been taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment.

The patrol has not released any further information on the accident.
