SENIOR CITIZENS

Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11:15 a.m. Thursday for a picnic lunch at A La Cart in Canfield. The event will include a program by the R.O.C.c.K. Children’s Choir, lead by Brenda Rider. Any senior 55 or older may attend by reserving lunch for $10 with Linda Wiland at 330-318-8462.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will not have its monthly meeting Friday. The next monthly meeting will be Aug. 3. Phyllis Nolfi will provide lunch. For reservations call Janet Davanzo at 330-793-3176. Members are asked to take a donation for a gift basket for a sick or shut-in member. Birthdays and anniversaries for July and August will be acknowledged, and bingo and a 50-50 raffle will follow the meeting. Membership dues of $5 are due. New members are invited to join. Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Douglas Martin will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. Steelworkers Retirees Local Union 1330 and 1331 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith Corner United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles-Canfield Road. Refreshments will be served, and new members are welcome.

Youngstown State University Retirees’ monthly breakfast is set for 9 a.m. Tuesday at Denny’s, Route 224, Boardman. All retirees and their friends are welcome.
