Memorial run for fallen Youngstown officer Michael Hartzell is next Sunday

YOUNGSTOWN

Motorcyclists will assemble between 9 and 11:30 a.m. next Sunday on West Federal Street in the city’s downtown to register for the 10th annual Fallen Officers Memorial Run in memory of Youngstown Police Officer Michael Hartzell.

With an opening ceremony at 11:30 a.m., the event, which will be held that day, rain or shine, is sponsored by the Blue Knights of Youngstown. The fee is $15 per rider and $10 per passenger, including a meal.

Hartzell was shot and killed in downtown Youngstown in April 2003.
