Air-quality advisory issued for Mahoning Valley for Monday

YOUNGSTOWN

The Eastgate Regional Council of Governments today issued an air-quality advisory for the Mahoning Valley on Monday.

Light winds Monday will limit pollutant dispersion, but very high temperatures and mostly

sunny skies will support ozone formation. In addition, high humidity will aid

particle production. These conditions, along with high regional pollutant

carryover, will lead to unhealthy conditions for sensitive groups.
