New bar opening at PNC Park

PITTSBURGH

Anheuser-Busch and the Pittsburgh Pirates plan to open the Budweiser Bowtie Bar, the first new bar or restaurant at PNC Park since 2008.

The team expects it to open by opening day on April 5. The brewery, the team, and concessionaire Aramark are funding the facility, which will cost between $500,000 and $1 million.

The Pirates plan to rent half of the bar to groups of 50 or more on game days, while the other half will be open to any fan with a ticket. If the group space isn’t rented, another 35 ticketed seats in that part of the lounge will be sold to the public, at a price yet to be determined.

The new lounge is next to the right field grandstand and gives fans a view of the field and the city’s skyline.
