Campbell man arrested after chase

Police arrested a 33-year-old Campbell man who failed to stop when police tried to give him a traffic station about 7 p.m. Monday.

Carl Wilson was on East Boston Avenue on the city’s South Side when police first tried to pull him over, police said.

Wilson led police on a 12-minute chase before finally stopping his vehicle at the corner of Hillman Street and Avondale Avenue, according to reports.

Wilson is charged with fleeing and eluding, marijuana trafficking, and driving without a license.

Police also discovered he had a bench warrant out of the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department.
