Cafaro Co. will build hotel, conference center at Eastwood Mall

Preliminary discussions are underway to build a new four-story, nationally branded, all-suite hotel at Eastwood Mall.

Once contract negotiations are finalized, construction would soon commence, with an anticipated opening in 2013, The Cafaro Co., owners of the mall, said Tuesday.

An adjacent banquet and conference center would accommodate meetings and social events from 25 to 1,000 guests.

Cafaro is currently seeking an operator for the banquet and conference center.

It said it would prefer a Mahoning Valley-based company.
