early literacy tips
Here are some tips for helping toddlers acquire language:
When participating with your child or grandchild in librarian-facilitated Baby Brilliant sessions, please sing along or say the nursery-rhyme words along with the librarian because your child or grandchild loves the sound of your voice.
Aside from being fun, singing songs with your baby helps him or her hear words being broken up into smaller sounds and later helps the child with reading.
Keep books everywhere, in the diaper bag, in the car, in children’s bedrooms and all over the house.
