BOARDMAN

Cordelia W. Dennison-Budak and Warren C. Swegal, both of Cleveland, exchanged wedding vows Oct. 8, 2011, at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park. Robert F. Burkey performed the ceremony for the daughter of Anthony Budak and Jennie Dennison-Budak of Hubbard and the son of Gary and Suzanne Swegal of Sewickley, Pa.

The couple received congratulations at a reception in their honor at the Youngstown Country Club in Liberty.

The bride wore an ivory satin A-line gown styled with a V-neckline and featuring a corded lace bodice and a skirt overlaid with corded lace and satin ribbon. A chapel-length antique Belgian Point de Gaze lace veil originally worn by her maternal grandmother completed her ensemble.

Bridal attendants wore dresses in a selection of jewel-tone colors. Rachel Garzarelli was the maid of honor and bridesmaids were Kristin Davis, Carrie Holmes, Audrey Speicher and Yasmina Kadich, the bride’s cousin. Flower girls were Katherine and Natalie Opauski, twin cousins of the bride.

Hayden Swegal performed the duties of best man for his brother. Attending the groom were Jarrod Bonsmann, Josh Burton, Kyle Closen, Karl Ruter and Elise Scioscia.

The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, earned a bachelor’s degree in geology from the College of Wooster and a master’s in geology from Kent State University. She is employed as a geologist with Haley and Aldrich in Independence, Ohio.

Mr. Swegal holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Wooster, and is a fourth-year medical student at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.

After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple are living in Cleveland.
