McMurrays’ 50th celebrated with family, friends

James and Patricia McMurray of Boardman marked the 50th anniversary of their wedding in June. Mr. McMurray and the former Patricia Gallaugher were married June 3, 1961, at St. Charles Church.

The couple renewed their vows with the Rev. Philip Rogers and were honored at a party for family and friends hosted by their daughters and their spouses.

The McMurray children are Kim (Bob) Conway of Aurora, Ohio, and Lori (Tom) Shutrump of Mason, Ohio.

Guests at the party numbered 60-plus and included the couple’s six grandchildren: Matt (Heather) Conway, Cory Conway and Tom, Tim, John and Julia Shutrump. One great-grandchild, Jack Conway, completes the family.

Mr. McMurray retired from Roth Bros. in Youngstown as a sheet metal worker.

Mrs. McMurray is a part-time secretary at St. Charles Church, where the couple are parishioners.
