Fashion show to benefit local charities

The Mahoning County Medical Society Alliance is hosting its eighth annual champagne brunch and fashion show Feb. 23 at Avion on the Water, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road.

The event will begin with a social and basket auction at 10 a.m., followed by brunch at 11.

A style show presented by 850 Blues and La Ti Da Boutique will follow with some of the latest in women’s and men’s apparel and accessories. Concepts Salon and Spa will be doing hairstyles and makeup. Leanne Binder will provide musical entertainment.

The cost is $30 per person, and tables of up to 10 can be reserved by request. Reservations can be made with a check made payable to MCMSA by Feb. 15 and mailing it to the organization at 565 E. Main St., Suite 220, Canfield, OH 44406, or by calling 330-533-4880. All proceeds will benefit the Midlothian Free Clinic and Second Harvest Backpack program.

Arrangements for the fundraiser are being made by its chairwomen, Tammy Engle and Cassie Calderone, and committee members Katie Altenhof, Susan Berny, Michelle Duffett, Donna Hayat, Paula Jakubek, Tricia Potesta, Carol Sankovic and Susan Yarab.

The Alliance has a mission to promote the goals of the Mahoning County Medical Society, to inform and support the medical family, and to enhance the quality of life through health education, legislation and community service throughout the county.
