Scouting district plans fundraising breakfast

The seventh annual “Celebration of Scouting” fundraiser breakfast will take place at 7:15 a.m. March 6 at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. The Whispering Pines District of the Greater Western Reserve Council of Boy Scouts of America will celebrate Scouting’s local impact by recognizing families with generations of Eagle Scouts. Guest speakers will include Eagle Scouts Dr. Timothy Kneen and Anthony Calautti, and GWRC executive Jason Wolf, at far right, who will deliver the “State of Scouting Report.” Members of the event steering committee are, from left, chairman Mark Luke, George and Beth Basista, David Deibel, Holly Baker, George Grim and Jennifer Hunt.
