Canfield swimmers beat Massillon Perry

The Canfield swimming and diving teams beat Massillon Perry Jan. 21 at Youngstown State University. The girls team won 109-74, while the boys earned a 130-36 victory.
Mallory Allen was one of the top swimmers for the girls team, winning the 100-yard fly and the 500-yard free. Olivia Williamson placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard individual medley. Sarah Heaven won the 100-yard free and the 100-yard backstroke.
Leslie Davis took first in the 200-yard free.
Winning the 200-yard medley relay was the team of Heaven, Williamson, Allen and Briana O’Malley. The quartet of O’Malley, Leslie Davis, Jamie Wellham and Williamson won the 200-yard free relay.
Allen, Davis, Wellham and Heaven won the 400-yard freestyle relay. Ally Chiu took second in the diving portion of the competition.
Daniel Bogen led the boys team with victories in the 100-yard free and the 200-yard free. Connor Brady placed first in the 100-yard backstroke and the 100-yard fly.
Mark Dalvin took first in the 50-yard free and Drew Bennett won the 500-yard free. Kyle Anderson was tops in the 200-yard individual medley and Jake Smith took first in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Winning the 200-yard medley relay was the team of Adam Weiss, Smith, Brady and Michael DiDomenico. Brady, Bogen, Nick Montalto and Dalvin took first in the 200-yard free relay and Bogen, DiDomenico, Dalvin and Montalto won the 400-yard free relay.
