Wrestling tournament on NEON Channel 23

High school wrestling fans can watch last weekend’s Bill Dies Memorial Wrestling Tournament on Time Warner Cable’s NEON channel 23 and Local On-Demand channel 411.

Coverage will include the final match for each weight class.

The tournament at Akron Firestone featured some of the best high school wrestlers from Northeastern Ohio, Canfield competed in the tournament.

The program will air today and tomorrow and also on Feb. 2.

To access the On-Demand show, Time Warner Cable’s Digital Cable customers may tune to channel 411, select the SPORTS category, then WRESTLING.

Strike Out Cancer event at Bell-Wick

The Youngstown-Salem USBC WBA will host its 10th annual Strike Out Cancer benefit bowling tournament, Feb. 10-12, at Bell-Wick Bowl.

The format is 9-pin no-tap scotch doubles based on four games by couples (two women, two men, mixed couple or junior-adult).

Golf event set for this summer

The annual Pink Ribbon Gold Classic will be held at Tippecanoe Country Club on July 16. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the American Cancer Society.

The Pink Ribbon committee will also sponsor a bus trip this spring to a local casino. Watch for further details on both of these events.
