Sue Hernan Cook-Off planned for Sunday

The second annual Sue Hernan Chili Cook-Off will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the Boardman United Methodist Church fellowship hall at 6809 Market St.

Sue Hernan drowned at Berlin Lake while saving her two grandchildren.

Amy Radinovic and Jeff Levkulich of WKBN First News will be the hosts. Admission to the event is $5 for adults and $2 for children under 10. Proceeds will be used by the church missions committee to sponsor a trip to Joplin, Mo., to aid victims of a devastating tornado.
