FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a baked chicken dinner from 11:30 to 1 p.m. today at the church. The meal includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. FRIDAY

Bristolville United Methodist Church, 6271 N. Park Ave., will have a “God Provides” lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Soup and sandwiches, a light dessert and a beverage will be served. Everyone is welcome.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi, while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed early from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528, and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Walk-in orders will be available. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

SATURDAY

Braceville United Methodist Church, state Route 82, is having a stuffed pork chop dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The meal includes mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, bread, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $9 for adults and $3.50 for children. For takeouts call 330-898-5607.

Lake Milton Presbyterian Church, 942 Grandview Road, will have a soup, sandwich and dessert lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the last Saturday of each month through April. There is no charge, and everyone is welcome to enjoy food, fellowship and possibly music.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will sponsor a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. The all-you-can-eat meal will feature eggs, pancakes, french toast, potatoes, sausage, rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and onions, orange juice and other beverages. St. Nicholas Moms & Dads Club will have a roast chicken dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. at St. Nicholas Parish Center, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. The meal includes potato, vegetables, and roll and butter; desserts and beverages will be available. Tickets are $8 for adults ($7 in advance at the parish office), $6 for students and free for children under 4. A hot dog and french fries will be available for $4.

SUNDAY

Knights of Columbus Council 3930 will host a spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. The meal includes meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 9. Children 5 and under eat free. There also will be a 50-50 raffle. All proceeds will benefit K. of C. charities.

Knights of Columbus Father Venglaric Council 11915 will host a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in St. Charles Church hall, 7345 Westview Drive 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman. There will be spaghetti and meatballs for $7 and chicken parmesan for $8. Proceeds will benefit St. Charles School and other charitable endeavors.

St. Lucy Church Altar & Rosary Society is having a buffet cavatelli dinner from noon to 4 p.m. in the Palermo Banquet Center, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. Takeouts are available (take your own container).

Struthers United Methodist Church, 33 Sexton St., will have a beef tips and noodles dinner from noon to 3 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts will be available. There will be a bake sale at the same time sponsored by the United Methodist Women.

TUESDAY

Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will sell stuffed cabbage rolls from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until sold out) every Tuesday for $1.50 each. To order call 330-799-5318 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Friday. Walk-ins are welcome, but advance orders are appreciated.
