CPA opens Smart Tax service office Thursday in Howland

HOWLAND — Smart Tax, 8224 E. Market St., will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Kevin Heater, a Vienna native who previously owned his own CPA firm in Cortland, recently moved it to Howland as the first Smart Tax franchise is in Ohio. Smart Tax is a tax-preparation service.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The Smart Tax website is www.thesmartwaytofile.com and Heater’s website is www.kchcpa.com.
