ANNAPOLIS, MD.
The U.S. Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, Md., was the setting for the June 18, 2011, marriage of Christina London and Solomon Lu, both of San Diego. Deacon Gary Ingold officiated over the exchange of vows for the daughter of Paul and Anne London and the son of Dr. David and Joy Lu, all of Boardman. A reception for the couple at the Sheraton Annapolis Hotel followed the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride wore a silk taffeta gown featuring a slight sweetheart neckline and chapel train.
Bridal attendants, wearing bright pink dresses, included Nadine Nash as maid of honor, and bridesmaids Natalie Hogan, Sally Neidhard and Katie Wallace.
Ian Carter-Condon performed the duties of best man and groomsmen were Alvin Lu, the groom’s brother, and Dan Bloomberg, Vinny Travee and Ryan Szymaniak.
The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, graduated magna cum laude from Ohio University with a degree in journalism. She is a freelance writer.
Ensign Lu obtained a degree in chemistry from the Naval Academy and is a surface warfare officer with the U.S. Navy.
After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple live in San Diego.
