34west Theater will present “We Go Everywhere Together” at The Embassy, 5030 Youngstown-Poland Road, on Feb. 24 to benefit Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.

Written by Stephen W. Baldwin, 34west playwright, and Jeffrey Querin, artistic director, the comedy follows two old-timers as they set out to find the loves of their lives despite a series of mishaps and adventures. Henry can’t see, George can’t hear and they go everywhere together in the light-hearted memoir of life, love and hip replacements.

Reserved seating includes a formal buffet, dessert and the show. Tickets are $50; to make reservations, call 330-744-5485 during regular business hours and ask for Lynn Wyant.

“We Go Everywhere Together” has sold out more performances than any other 34west production.

“More people have seen ‘the old guys’ than any other show,” said Querin. “Office groups, retirement parties — you name it — have come out of the woodwork to see the show.”

Querin and Baldwin originated the characters several years ago as part of 34west’s annual Christmas show. Five Christmas productions and one full-length play later, they’ve become the most popular characters in the company’s 12-year history.

“Everyone identifies with the old guys,” said Baldwin. “They’re outrageous and sentimental all at the same time.”

Baldwin and Querin portray the elderly gentlemen in the show. “We always keep it positive,” said Baldwin. “Seeing these two overcome the odds makes you smile. That’s what has made these characters so endearing.”

34west has presented benefit shows for the Rescue Mission the past two years. For more information on the theater company, go to 34west.org.
