Mistrial declared in Paul Brown case
YOUNGSTOWN — The murder trial of Paul Brown of Youngstown has ended in a mistrial after a Mahoning County Common Pleas Court judge determined that Youngstown police had not supplied evidence to the prosecution and defense.
Judge Maureen Sweeney granted the mistrial at 11:30 a.m. today. A new court date has not been set.
Brown was on trial for the murder of 17-year-old Ashten Jackson in 2009.
