45-year-old man killed in snowmobile crash

CORRY, Pa. (AP) — State police are investigating the death of a 45-year-old man whose snowmobile hit a tree in northwestern Pennsylvania.

Troopers from the Corry barracks say Randall Mitchell, of Corry, crashed Sunday about 7:40 p.m. in a field in Concord Township.

Mitchell was taken to Corry Memorial Hospital where he died a short time later of head and chest injuries.

Police say Mitchell was wearing a helmet, but didn’t immediately say in a news release today how or why they believe he crashed.
