NEW MIDDLETOWN

Mr. and Mrs. Clyde J. Bennett of New Middletown marked their 60th wedding anniversary with friends during a dinner party Jan. 16 at the Springfield Grille in Boardman.

The Bennetts’ son, Douglas Bennett, lives in Floyds Knobs, Ind.

Another son, Gary Bennett, is deceased.

The couple’s family includes four grandchildren.

Mrs. Bennett, the former Sylvia Wray, is a housewife and a member of New Middletown Seniors.

Mr. Bennett retired in 1989 from Plexco of North Lima, where he was a millwright. He is a member of Lowellville Rod & Gun Club. He served from 1951 to 1953 in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he attained the rank of sergeant.

The Bennetts were married on Jan. 16, 1952, by a justice of the peace in New Bern, N.C.
